This was my second recent visit to Mellieha but my first stay at the Solana. I was impressed by the contact from the hotel before my stay, including an offer of a discounted room upgrade, which I accepted. There was an initial issue with my room but this was dealt with very efficiently and my first night was in a lovely Suite!! My room was ready early the next day and was superb with the promised panoramic view of the town. The staff in the hotel are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. I had a half board package and eat at the excellent Bellini restaurant which offers an excellent hot and cold buffet at breakfast and dinner. Mellieha is a great location with good access to all parts of the island via the terrific Malta Buses. Buy the 7 day pass at the airport for 21 Euros and catch the X1 from outside the Arrivals Hall to the stop outside the Hotel and then enjoy unlimited low cost travel to all of the many places Malta has to offer.

Loved every part, the heated pool is amazing, me and my daughter came for Mother’s Day long weekend and it was the most beautiful holiday. The staff can’t do enough for you, and I would definitely recommend the Swedish full body massage, multiple swimming pools, games room, 2 restaurants and plenty of lounge areas to chill in. I was so sad to be leaving it actually made me emotional. Breakfast was great - especially the American pancakes 🥞 Dinner was delicious. The pizza is a treat and sad I only had 1 on our last day, if I’d had one before I’d have only had them. The room was phenomenal and had the best view of the church, you could hear the bells ringing in the morning which made it extra special. If your looking for somewhere special/relaxing/inviting then this is the place for you, memories made that’ll never be forgotten and we can’t wait to come back again with the rest of the family.

Our 7-night stay at the hotel was delightful. Throughout our visit, the staff provided exceptional service. The receptionists were attentive, friendly, and helpful. During our stay, we indulged in the breakfast and dinner provided. The meal options were diverse and included hot dishes. The restaurant was spacious, with ample seating available. We had a wonderful time enjoying lunch at the rooftop pool and bar. The ambience was delightful, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed our time at the hotel's Nataraya spa, where Tessa and Melrose provided exceptional service. The hot tub and complimentary drink were a nice touch. The hotel's location was convenient, with shops, bars, restaurants and a beach within a 20-minute walk. Public transportation was also easily accessible, making renting a car to explore the island unnecessary. If we had the opportunity, we would stay at this hotel.

The room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Great location, with great public bus access around the island. Lots of restaurants near the hotel. The breakfast selection was huge and great! We only had the buffet dinner once, quality was good. €29, all you can eat including wine, beer and soft drinks. Used the spa for a treatment, good value. The indoor pool was lovely, but too many people in it to swim. They a la carte restaurant was also excellent and they deliver to the room at no service charge if you spend more than €10. Highly recommend the hotel, all staff were friendly and kind.

Nicola

The location was great and in the middle of everything in Mellieha. Fantastic facilities with the Prickly Pears selection of food, cakes and drinks menu, everything we had was tasty and well priced. The views and service at the Rooftop Bar were top notch alas the pools up there were baltic and we noticed that no-one used them because of this. Spa, sauna and indoor pool were lovely and we used almost everyday of our stay. Breakfast consisted of just about everything you could possibly want or need, we cannot comment on evening meals as we stayed B&B.
